| Today the Lord told me to go to Isaiah 57. I had to read it 3x's to get it, and I'm sure there is more if I will go and soak in His presence and listen.
What got me, well the whole chapter did, but what really got me was in the end of vs 17 where the person continues to go in his own way. Whoo. That hit home. Then vs 18 says that He,(God) sees it all and yet He says that He will heal him. He will lead, restore and comfort him and then vs 19 that He will put praises in his lips and that He will bring him peace. Boy that showed the mercy of God. It really hit home. Don't you love the mercy of God. I'm not saying that He pretends that we messed up, but He is willing to raise us up. I don't know if I am presenting this well, but it sure did speak to me. God is good and He loves us. May I be more grateful today for His mercies. | | |
| I was listening to Bill Johnson today and I wrote down what he said. I hope it blesses you. I'm sure that you have heard this in some form before, but maybe it will be a help to you or others as you minister to others. "For anyone of us to revisit the events of our past apart from the blood of Jesus is to voluntarily subject ourselves to a spirit of deception. Because we turn & visit things that are no longer in that present form. They have been purchased by the blood of Jesus. We have no legal right to go into yesterday except through the blood of Jesus. And the blood of Jesus redefines that moment, that action. If I live with the consciousness of a past filled with failure and I'm not conscious of the blood of Jesus while I am forgiven of sin, I will live under the influence of sin because it will have an effect of shame & guilt even if it is not on His books." Some of Beth Moore's studies had us look at our past in light of Christ, but now I see more clearly why we must do so. I hope this blesses you today | | |
| Please take a minute and meet a new friend of mine. See the top of my subscriptions. Tracey came into my life last Monday and I am blessed. My world has gotten bigger. | Yesterday it dawned on me that Robert will be finishing up school this week and that graduation will be right around the corner. What.... 7 weeks from Saturday(5/19)!!!! Oh, my, I have to get busy: graduation invitations, a diploma ordered, refreshment menu, and uh, uh, uh..... Life has a way of sneaking up on you sometimes. Last year I had alot of help with 4 families doing the graduation and I let them do alot of it, but this time it is solo. Fun! Fun! Fun! I do miss the homeschool group in Gonzales. I don't think they realize how blessed they are to have one another. Yes, they have a homeschool group here, but it is NOT the same! Our church family has replaced the hole from the homeschool group in Gonzales. We really are blessed in that aspect of our lives. The only thing is that many of my friends are my "children's" friends. I have to share them. I'm not used to that, but I'm glad to see that they are choosing their friends wisely. Enough rambling! Oh, my Bible study group is doing Beth Moore's "When Godly people do ungodly things." It is a good study and the Lord is using it mightly in my life. I highly recommend it or in the book form. I read the book a few years back; however, the Lord is using it to really shine a light where I have not dared go. It feels good to come clean before the Lord as I deal with things. My goal: to become like Christ: doing what the Father says and does! | | |
